Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait ended Sunday’s trading session in the green zone
The price index gained 1.9% or 115.15 points to close at 6,222.83 points; the highest level in 15 months.
The weighted index gained 1.67% to approach the 400-point level, and Kuwait-15 rose by 2% to close at 926.41 points.
The market witnessed the most active performance since the end of 2014; turnover reached KWD 53.54 million, after 736.16 million shares were exchanged through 11,663 transactions.
The technology sector topped 10 gainers with 5.2%, followed by the oil and gas segment which rose by 3.15%.
The banks segment levelled up by 1.2% in line with the growth of nine shares topped by NBK which gained 3%.
Both the healthcare and insurance sectors were the only decliners with a fall of 0.61% and 0.4% respectively.
Abyaar was the most active stock on which 52.71 million shares were traded. The stock levelled up by 3.77%.
KFH recorded the highest trading value that stood at KWD 5.9 million.
